The History of Typography Poster Series was an exercise to identify influential typefaces and research their historical context. I decided to create posters that showcase the historical significance, the designer, and the full specimen of the fonts Cloister Black, Johnston ITC, and Baskerville. The series show a variety of typefaces and their places in history. Each poster was designed with careful consideration of negative space, composition, and contrast in order to emphasize the quality of the typeface.
